Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The model reproduces the skin and bony structures of an adult’s back in a semi-recumbent position, with palpable landmarks such as the scapula, the scapular angle and the intercostal spaces. An intelligent system detects disinfection, anaesthesia application, the puncture point and needle depth, guiding the user via indicator lights.
The puncture is performed at the 7th-9th intercostal space to simulate pleural effusion, with a clear empty-space sensation on crossing the pleura, and simulated fluid can be extracted after a correct puncture.
It is designed for clinical skills training and exam preparation.
