Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
Compact trainer developed in collaboration with St John that combines two functions: wound packing and tourniquet application. Its soft silicone tissue provides realistic pressure and resistance during packing, and the shape and compressibility of the arm allow standard commercial tourniquets to be applied and tightened.
It is available in two configurations for progressive training: a soft-tissue wound without bone, which simulates a deep ballistic entry wound for basic packing and gauze compression, and an open fracture wound, with palpable bone, for advanced haemorrhage control and fracture management scenarios.
It is compatible with manual or pressurised blood systems to simulate external bleeding. It is designed for repeated institutional use and is easy to clean and reset between sessions.
