Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The manikin combines a specially coated plastic skull covered in artificial skin with a fabric-covered torso over an internal structure, with reduced radiographic density that allows training under an image intensifier with lower radiation doses than on a real patient.
It allows practice in identifying surface landmarks, needle entry point, direction angle, and needle withdrawal and redirection until contact is made with deep bony structures, as well as interpreting the radiographic image during the procedure.
It is intended for training in cervical, thoracic and lumbar facet joint blocks, epidural injections, trigeminal (Gasserian) ganglion block, lumbar sympathetic block, coeliac/splanchnic block, sacroiliac joint injection and superior hypogastric block.
