Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The simulator reproduces active nasal bleeding through a capillary tube system that delivers artificial blood at an adjustable rate to four different points on the nasal septum, so each practice session can present a different bleeding source.
The student must locate the exact bleeding point, apply suction to clear the area, and choose between nasal packing or cautery to control the bleed; an indicator light confirms when cauterisation has been carried out successfully.
It is mounted on a hard plastic cranium with soft nasal tissue, and the whole control unit runs on an included 9-volt battery.
