Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
Two-in-one trainer for the care of heavily contaminated septic wounds. With the silicone insert in place it presents a superficial septic wound, suitable for getting started with inspection, cleaning, swab sampling and dressing application. Removing it reveals a deep tunnelling wound for practising exploration, deep irrigation, removal of contaminants, packing and advanced wound care.
The wound is prepared with the included pus cream and contaminants (maggots, shrapnel, silicone glass and dirt). An integrated bloodline, connected to the syringe, makes the wound start to bleed once it has been cleaned down to it, a realistic sign that it is ready for the next step.
The silicone base grips smooth surfaces and keeps the trainer stable during the exercise.
