Obstetric simulator for training in postpartum haemorrhage, with a bleeding circuit that responds to the correct manoeuvre. The bleeding stops when the massage, the bimanual compression or the tamponade is done properly, which gives the trainee immediate feedback.

Realism

The uterus is accessible to bimanual compression and to tamponade. The volume of simulated blood is controllable, so the instructor can set up scenarios of increasing loss and assess the estimation of blood loss, which is where most mistakes are made.

Teaching use

It allows the full treatment sequence to be worked through and the team to be coordinated in an obstetric emergency, including inspection of the birth canal.
