Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

The model accurately reproduces a child’s arm, with muscles, blood vessels and bony landmarks accessible to palpation. The skin and vessels are flexible and puncturable, with prominent bony landmarks on the surface that make anatomical localisation easier.

When the veins are filled, a clear empty-space sensation is felt on puncture and simulated blood return is observed, allowing practice of venipuncture, intravenous infusion, blood sampling and syringe-pump injection, thanks to a venous circulation system running the length of the arm.
