This model, enlarged approximately 30 times, compares normal skin with first, second and third degree burnt skin, showing the pathological changes typical of each level of injury.
The first level shows scarfskin (epidermal) damage and erythema; the second includes hypodermal damage and vesicles; the third reveals subcutaneous damage.
