What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This model, at a scale of 300 times life size, consists of 2 renal corpuscle sections: the first shows the anatomy of a healthy glomerulus, while the second describes the main glomerular pathologies associated with hypertension.
The pathological section shows afferent arteriole arteriosclerosis, changes in vascular calibre, endothelial cell alteration and the resulting increase of plasma proteins in the urine. All these details are represented with a high level of accuracy.
