Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The simulator faithfully reproduces the anatomy of a colostomy in an infant, with stomas made from soft, flexible material that gives a realistic tactile feel when handled.
It is designed to teach, step by step, the procedure for cleaning and caring for a baby’s stoma and changing the pouching system, a task that can feel overwhelming for those facing it for the first time.
The included syringes are used to inject simulated stool through ports into the colostomy sites, with a consistency that can be thinned by adding water; the stool material is reusable and the stomas also allow irrigation.
