What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

An affordable simulator for programmes devoted to practising every facet of childbirth. This life-size female torso, with the upper and lower body, is supplied with a removable abdominal cover and an articulated birthing baby with umbilical cord and placenta. The automatic birthing system rotates the baby as it advances through the birth canal. It allows foetal heart tones to be auscultated, head descent to be measured and cervical dilatation to be assessed. It accommodates various placenta positions. Replaceable dilatable cervices, postpartum suturing practice on vulval inserts and Leopold’s manoeuvres practice.
