Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
Newborn Anne is a manikin designed for hands-on training in neonatal resuscitation. With accurate anatomy and a feature set focused on the critical resuscitation skills needed in the first ten minutes of a newborn’s life, Newborn Anne covers the key components of the NRP course syllabus.
Product advantages:
– Educationally effective, since it makes it possible to teach specific neonatal resuscitation skills separately or combined with others.
– The realistic anatomical landmarks and the sturdy design simulate a full-term newborn girl.
– Its light, portable design means that Newborn Anne can be moved easily to different clinical settings.
– Newborn Anne is easy to use and has been designed to fit into any neonatal clinical training programme.
– Built on the SimNewB platform, developed together with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Newborn Anne was designed specifically to be clinically relevant, with features that address the key skills of the NRP course.
Product features:
– Newborn Anne faithfully reproduces a full-term newborn girl (40 weeks) at the 50th percentile, 21 inches and 7 pounds.
– The airway makes it possible to train in every aspect of neonatal airway management, including the use of positive pressure devices and the placement of endotracheal tubes and laryngeal masks.
– The torso incorporates the possibility of relieving a tension pneumothorax by needle decompression.
– The umbilicus is patent, has a manually generated pulse and can be assessed, cut and catheterised to obtain intravenous access.
