Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Each pad straps onto a partner’s or instructor’s forearm with a fastening band, so the student practises venous puncture on a realistic surface while keeping the positioning and patient communication skills used with a real patient.

The trainer reproduces the three main veins used in phlebotomy — cephalic, basilic and median cubital — in their correct anatomical position, plus an arterial vessel that lets students simulate an accidental arterial puncture and practise correcting it.

Sold as a pack of five, it lets every student have their own pad during a session, avoiding the queues typical of shared practice arms. It is commonly used in ambulance and emergency training, where venepuncture is practised under movement.
