Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This dissected right-foot specimen displays a combination of vessels, nerves, ligaments and tendons. The plantar digital neurovascular bundles run on both sides of the flexor tendons. The two digital extensor tendons are identified in the proximal dorsal aspect of the specimen. The metatarsophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints show all their ligaments. Between the plantar aspect of the metatarsal bones and the digital flexor tendons lies the interosseous ligament with its sesamoid and extensor branches.
