What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This descriptive model for patient education, at approximately twice life size, shows a frontal section of the rectum. In addition, there is a smaller relief section on the base. The model shows external haemorrhoids and also grade I and II internal haemorrhoids. The additional relief shows grade III and IV haemorrhoids. The anatomical structures of the rectum, the sphincter and the venous plexus are also represented.
