Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This improved model of the female pelvis with the pelvic floor musculature shows the pelvic floor layer by layer.
The muscles shown, which can be separated by means of magnets, are:
– M. obturatorius internus (left and right),
– M. piriformis (left and right),
– M. coccygeus (left and right),
– Diaphragma pelvis (M. levator ani, made up of the M. puborectalis, the M. pubococcygeus and the M. iliococcygeus),
– Diaphragma urogenitale (made up of the M. transversus perinei profundus, the M. transversus perinei superficialis and the M. ischiocavernosus) and the sphincters of the urogenital and digestive tracts (M. sphincter ani externus, M. sphincter urethrae and M. bulbospongiosus).
The model consists of 12 parts in total, including the two halves of the pelvis and the sacrum. It is held together with magnets, so you can easily remove each part to show the different layers.
It is a very suitable model for pelvic floor exercise courses, antenatal preparation and midwife training, or simply for studying the pelvic floor musculature.
Size: 27 x 18 x 17 cm
