What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

DANi 2.0 is a full-body manikin for building competence and confidence in essential nursing skills before clinical placement. It offers a safe, repeatable environment for bedside care, patient mobility, airway management, CPR, clinical procedures, IV therapy, injections and blood pressure assessment.

It has the appearance of a teenage and young adult patient, realistic skin, interchangeable pupils (normal, constricted and dilated) and interchangeable male and female genitalia.

This version is supplied in light skin tone and without a tablet.

Knowledge

What you learn

Patient simulator modality. The competencies this equipment trains, in the language of the training plan.

Basic care:

Passive range of motion; turning, transferring and positioning.
Bathing and hygiene, grooming and hair care; denture care and placement.

Airway and CPR:

Oral and nasal intubation, airway management and ventilation.
Chest compressions.

Clinical procedures:

Urinary catheterisation, NG tube placement and care, PEG tube care.
Tracheostomy and ostomy care; wound care and bandaging.

IV therapy, injections and medication:

IV access with the included IV arm.
Intramuscular and subcutaneous injection; medication administration.

Patient assessment:

Blood pressure assessment and manual carotid pulse.
