Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

CPARLENE is a modular torso system that needs no conversion kits: the head, neck and jaw are articulated, and the abdomen is pliable to practise airway obstruction manoeuvres. It has anatomical landmarks (xiphoid process, navel, nipple line and ribcage) to help locate the correct compression point.

Each student can use their own sanitary face mask, and the tracheal and lower airway are disposable parts fitted with a lung bag, avoiding the need to disinfect the manikin between uses. The moulded hair needs no upkeep.

The torso supports a manual carotid pulse check and jaw-thrust manoeuvre, and is compatible with electronic CPR-quality monitoring systems.
