This multi-layer suture pad offers the opportunity to train the surgical incision and closure of the bovine abdominal wall, as practised in caesarean sections in ruminants. It is suitable for practising the gradual cutting of the abdominal wall as well as the closure of each layer using surgical sutures or skin clips.

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This multilayer suture pad offers the opportunity to train the surgical incision and closure of the bovine abdominal wall, as practised in caesarean sections in ruminants.
The multi-layer suture model consists of the skin and the different muscle layers (M. obliquus ext., M. obliquus int. and M. transversus) with their respective fibre progressions. It is suitable for the gradual cutting of the abdominal wall as well as for the closure of the individual layers by means of surgical sutures or skin forceps.
