Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

The “Chucky Chest” Chest Seal Trainer is a training device designed to realistically simulate a sucking chest wound. Developed for training in tactical and civilian emergency medical services, it enables hands-on training in the correct application of chest seals, both with and without a valve.

The integrated pump system uses a pump bellows to simulate the patient’s inhalation and exhalation. This creates a dynamic training scenario in which the application and functional check of a chest seal can be practised under realistic conditions, giving users a practical understanding of how to manage open chest injuries. The trainer consists of a large, oval silicone skin with a centrally positioned wound. The wound is connected via a tube to the pump bellows, which simulates breathing movements.

The self-adhesive backing allows quick attachment to training manikins or directly to a person, so that a variety of training scenarios can be simulated realistically. For sessions without a manikin, the “Chucky Chest” can be used on the included mounting plate as a compact desktop trainer. This makes the system suitable both for mobile use and for classroom training.

Applied chest seals can be removed after the exercise without leaving any residue and without damaging the skin. The trainer can therefore be used as often as needed and offers a virtually unlimited service life.
