  • Laryngospasm
    • Adjustable from normal to complete airway obstruction.
    • Sudden vocal cord closure can be simulated.
    • When successfully acted upon by the user, the laryngospasm can be mechanically reversed to provide positive feedback.
  • Displaced larynx
    • Ability to move the larynx to a more anterior position to make laryngoscopy more difficult.
    • Adjustable to provide various levels of difficulty.
  • Tongue oedema
    • The tongue can be swollen to simulate various degrees of macroglossia.
  • Retracted/protruding jaw
    • Ability to simulate 2 degrees of mandibular protrusion; a normal jaw and a retracted jaw.
    • Simulated overbite and underbite characteristics

    • Ability to coarsely restrict mouth opening to make insertion of airway devices difficult
