Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The manikin reproduces the adult upper and lower airway: nasal passages and cavity, pharynx, epiglottis, trachea, oesophagus, cricoid cartilage and the tracheostomy stoma, with the trachea branching into the left and right bronchi. The mouth and jaw are flexible, which also allows oral suctioning to be practised.
It is designed to teach patients and caregivers the techniques they will need to apply at home: suctioning secretions, cuff inflation, dressing changes, and cleaning and maintaining the stoma, following the same procedure as on a real patient.
It is supplied with one tracheostomy tube, an instruction guide and a hard carrying case.
