Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Made from advanced polymer materials, the model reproduces the L1-L5 vertebrae, sacrum and sacral hiatus, with palpable landmarks such as the posterior superior iliac spine and thoracic vertebrae. It is positioned laterally for training.

It supports practice of lumbar anaesthesia, lumbar puncture and nerve blocks. It reproduces realistic resistance when passing through the ligamentum flavum, with a first give sensation on entering the epidural space and a second on reaching the subarachnoid space, and it simulates cerebrospinal fluid flow.

The skin and simulated spinal cavities are replaceable, with consumables supplied.
