Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

This Adult Full Body Phantom is an X-Ray/CT and US-compatible training product. The primary application of this phantom is hands-on experience with diagnostic imaging techniques and visual evaluation to find optimal scanning conditions.

The model of this phantom is based on an adult male body that weighs about 70 kg (154 lb) and measures 172 cm (69 in) in height.

The bones have a realistic three-layered structure with inner porosity, which can be adjusted according to the requirement of the particular project. Customizable with different pathologies (lesion, tumor, infection, abnormality) upon request. This positioning phantom can be ordered in a translucent or skin-colored version.

The following anatomical features are included in the standard version of this phantom. Should you require additional organs or components, please reach out to us and we can customize the model to suit your specific needs.

Note: For the purpose of showing the positioning techniques, the phantom with muscles has been used. This product does NOT include muscles. By default, the phantom comes in a translucent amber appearance. The skin feature can be included upon request.

Disclaimer : The phantom displayed on this page is a synthetically fabricated training simulator. While it has been engineered to mimic the anatomy of an adult male for medical imaging, it is not meant to replace a live person and may have certain limitations in its capabilities.

Unlike an actual human however, the phantom will not be harmed or deteriorated due to repeated radiation. It is designed for easy use by radiologists or students with minimal supervision. The phantom presents a safe alternative to using cadavers or volunteers. This makes it a sustainable, ethical choice for the early stages of research and education.

Please review the design, description, and properties carefully before purchasing the model. Only manufacturing defects will be covered under two years of the standard warranty. What you learn

Task trainer modality. The competencies this equipment trains, in the language of the training plan.

  • Chain the study of several regions without mispositioning the specimen.
  • Position and centre the specimen for each projection or slice plane.
  • Choose the radiographic technique and check its effect on the image.
  • Adjust the CT protocol and assess the result on the reconstructions.
  • Orient the probe and recognise the structures in each ultrasound plane.
  • Apply the image quality criteria and repeat the acquisition when they are not met.
