Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This set of models is a three-dimensional teaching tool ideal for performing Leopold’s manoeuvres and demonstrating palpation of the abdomen in order to determine fetal lie, presentation and position. The abdominal palpation model includes a fetus with movable arms and legs, firm buttocks and a head with palpable anterior and posterior fontanelles. The body of the fetus flexes so that all presentations and positions can be demonstrated. The fetus and the vinyl pelvis included are housed in the abdominal part of the model. The abdomen, a padded fabric attached to the base with Velcro, makes it easy to visualise and change the fetal positions. It comes with a gel pad that provides additional cushioning over the fetus for a more realistic feel, movable gel bags that simulate the amniotic fluid and a practical guide with detailed instructions on how to use the model. The set also includes additional movable gel bags to simulate the amniotic fluid and a carry bag.
