What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This life-size head model is cut horizontally into 12 pieces, which gives an idea of how computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging work. Each slice can be rotated and removed to examine its anatomical detail closely, reproduced with great precision. All the structures, including the muscles, the nerves and the cerebral gyri and sulci, are numbered and identified on the key card supplied.
