Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
Silicone wound reproducing a sucking chest wound (open pneumothorax). It is placed on the chest of the standardised patient or manikin to practise assessment and sealing of the wound with a chest seal in penetrating trauma scenarios.
It is self-adhesive, applies and removes without leaving residue and is reusable. It can be finished with blood, FX make-up, dirt or soot and, after cleaning and drying, is stored again on its plastic sheet in a cool, dark place.
