What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Cricothyrotomy places high demands on the practitioner’s skills and can have serious consequences for dogs if not practised properly. This simulator enables regular training of lifelike cricothyrotomies without risk. The handy trainer has a larynx with interchangeable cricothyroid (conic) ligament and skin. Both the skin and the Lig. conicum can be gradually rotated 360°, allowing a variety of exercises before replacement is required. A special feature is the blood-filled pouch placed between the skin and the ligament, which allows blood to escape during the incision and makes further work more difficult. The simulator offers lifelike anatomy and a realistic feel.
