What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
All anaesthetists should be trained to perform a surgical airway, and training should be repeated at regular intervals to ensure skill retention.
The eFONA Trainer is an anatomical representation of an adult neck that mimics real anatomy. The folding and locking mechanism holds the skin snugly in place and allows quick replacement of accessory parts. Learners can take turns and perform multiple cricothyrotomies. A fat pad can be added under the skin to mimic subcutaneous fat or swelling.
The chin is movable to train cricothyrotomy under difficult conditions.
Includes 5 skins, 5 double skins, 5 tracheal rings, 5 fat pads and a carrying case.
