Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
Coniotomy places high demands on the skills of the practitioner and can have serious consequences for patients if performed by someone lacking sufficient practice. Crico Curt enables regular training in realistic coniotomies without risk. Curt can be easily strapped onto a manikin or an actor. The design safely protects the actor from any potential puncture wounds while also ensuring a comfortable fit.
The trainer features a larynx with a replaceable ligamentum conicum and skin. Both the skin and the ligamentum conicum are designed so that they can be rotated step by step through 360°, allowing for a wide variety of exercises until replacement is necessary. A distinctive feature of Crico Curt is a blood-filled sac placed between the skin and the ligamentum conicum; blood flows out through this sac during the incision, making further work more difficult. In addition to lifelike anatomy and realistic tactile feedback, Crico Curt is highly cost-effective.
