What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This set of 3 models shows the basic structure of the kidney. The first is a frontal section of the kidney at 3x magnification illustrating the adrenal gland, the cortex, the medulla, the pyramids with their papillae, the renal pelvis and the blood vessels. The second represents a nephron at
120x magnification and shows the renal tubules, the collecting duct system and the loop of Henle. The third illustrates the Malpighian corpuscle with Bowman’s capsule, at 700x magnification. All these models are a good instrument for understanding the anatomy of the kidney down to its internal details. The three models are
mounted on a stand.
