What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This skull is an excellent example of an adolescent. Apart from the wisdom teeth, all the permanent teeth have fully erupted and no deciduous teeth remain. The apices of the canines, premolars and second molars are radiographically one-half to two-thirds closed, which corresponds to an age of 13.5 to 14 years. The crowns of the three remaining third molars are at an early stage of calcification. Radiographically there is no sign of root formation. The early stage of third molar crown formation is usually completed by around the age of 13.
