Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
This life-size sexless torso, composed of 16 parts, is suitable for any human anatomy course. All the major organ systems are represented with great accuracy and detail. Structures are numbered and identified on an accompanying key, and further information is provided in the CD-ROM guide.
The head is open, exposing one half of the brain. The neck is dissected ventrally to show the muscular, neural, vascular and glandular structures. The thorax and abdomen are completely open, giving an unrestricted view of the internal organs and structures.
Removable structures include: half of the brain (divided along the longitudinal fissure, showing internal structures and blood vessels), the eye with optic nerve and extraocular muscles, the descending thoracic aorta and oesophagus, the right and left lungs (showing the bronchial tree and vasculature), the heart, the liver with gallbladder, the stomach, the pancreas, duodenum and spleen with their vessels and ducts, and the small and large intestine, with a removable window in the caecal region.
