It allows proper positioning on a real human arm, without the risks associated with puncturing live tissue. The Venatech IV trainer is ideal for practicing the initiation of IVs in a moving ambulance.

GENERAL:

The trainer includes the three main veins used in phlebotomy: cephalic, basilic and median ulnar, all in the correct anatomical position.
An arterial vessel is present in the trainer for simulation of arterial blood gases.
It can also be used as a tool to show how to correct puncture through a vein into an artery.
The trainer helps students learn essential communication and patient interaction skills.
