Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Hand-painted soft silicone leg sleeve that reproduces an oedematous leg. Pressing the thick area with a finger forms a pit that slowly recovers its shape, as in real pitting oedema.

It is fitted with a zip and fastened to the foot with Velcro. On a manikin, the zip is opened fully and the sleeve wrapped around the leg; on a standardised patient, it is more comfortable to open it only partly, insert the foot and pull the sleeve into place.
