Description

What this equipment is and what it's designed for.

Teaching model of a full-term placenta and umbilical cord made entirely of high-quality silicone. It reproduces the placental veins and arteries on the fetal surface, the cotyledons on the maternal surface and membrane remnants at the edge, making it easier to identify placental structures.

The 50 cm cord includes two arteries and a smiley-shaped vein. It can be fully immersed for cleaning or covered with artificial blood for added realism, and allows teaching of culturally appropriate handling of the placenta for return to the family. For birth scenarios inside the manikin, the smaller MO720 placenta is recommended.

CARE:

Wash with warm soapy water and disinfect with isopropyl alcohol
Dry thoroughly with a soft towel or hairdryer
If the silicone becomes shiny, wipe off the residue with isopropyl alcohol
Store in a dry, dust-free place
