Description
What this equipment is and what it's designed for.
The “Thigh Skin Laceration” wound simulation sleeve was developed to realistically simulate severe injuries in the training and continuing education of emergency medical services, the military, fire services and disaster response teams. The elastic sleeve is easily pulled over the thigh of a training manikin or actor, allowing quick, safe and repeatable use during training exercises.
The simulation depicts a large, complex skin laceration, such as that caused by a severe traffic accident, an explosion or shrapnel. The detailed design and lifelike surface texture give a particularly realistic injury presentation and enhance the learning effect in operational and emergency drills. For an even more authentic simulation, the model features an integrated blood supply line, which can be connected to an external source of artificial blood so that the injury bleeds in a controlled and realistic way. This enables training in haemostasis and wound care under realistic conditions. Made from a soft specialty material, the sleeve has a natural feel and a realistic skin appearance. Internal fabric reinforcement provides high tear resistance and durability, so the sleeve keeps its shape and function even with frequent use.
