• This high-quality bowel care trainer simulates a patient’s buttocks, with femoral stumps, anus and bowel previously placed in left lateral decubitus.
• The upper part of the buttock is soft and flexible to make it more realistic. The resident physician has to lift this part to access the anus.
• It allows the insertion of catheters from CH16 to CH40 and rectal balloon catheters.
• The different rectal touch parts are made of tough SKINlike silicone to simulate human skin and reproduce the tactile sensation of the tissue during TR and SRD operations.
• The anus remains closed and impenetrable after catheter removal due to the high quality material of the parts.
• It contains two didactic 3D (three-dimensional) anatomical models of the haemorrhoids to facilitate the explanation of complications or contraindications:
  • One model presents a frontal cut of the rectum with haemorrhoids, anal fissures and fistulas.
  • The other shows an external plane with inflamed rectal prolapse and haemorrhoid lumps.
• The 3D models are attached to the trainer by magnets so that they can be passed from one student to another during the class.
• Safe system for receiving and depositing liquids:
  • Ensures portability, impermeability and safety.
  • Allows safe administration of conventional enema solutions up to a maximum volume of 2 litres.
  • The liquid can be emptied into the inlet reservoir or directly into the nearest basin or container.

The faecaloma and enema removal simulator is an excellent alternative that allows students and healthcare staff to optimise their skills with direct feedback from the results of enema administration. The simulator’s numerous functions allow resident physicians to perform a variety of procedures during training. A safe fluid reception and reservoir system ensures that the bowel care trainer does not leak. It is also possible to practice sponge bathing using the simulated solid and soluble faeces. A quick and easy change of settings allows various techniques to be applied under the supervision of the instructor and during student practice.
