Our canine otoscopy simulator can be used to train how to correctly perform an ear examination on dogs.
It realistically reproduces the external auditory canal up to the eardrum.

CHARACTERISTICS

GENERAL:

  • The ear canals were obtained from CT data.
  • Both a healthy and a narrow ear canal have been modelled.
  • To check the success, the eardrums of both ear canals were marked in colour.
  • In the healthy ear canal there is an opening so that artificial earwax can be introduced into the model.
  • The dog’s head is made entirely of soft silicone and is removably mounted on a tripod.
  • The tripod offers the possibility to fix the dog’s head in frontal and lateral examination position.
  • The table clamp allows the tripod to be firmly fixed to a table.
