LEOPOLD MANEUVERS AND PALPATION ABDOMEN (option):
  • The Leopold's Maneuvers and Palpation Abdomen for Obstetric Susie® is a one-piece fetal baby with palpable fontanelles, spine, shoulders, elbows, and knees useful for labor and delivery skills training.
  • The fetal baby may be used with Gaumard's OBSUSIE simulator in normal, breech, or transverse position.
  • Elevation cushions lift the fetal baby so participants can go hands-on and practice Leopold maneuvers and external version exercises.
ARTICULATING NEWBORN FOR LEOPOLD MANEUVERS (option):
  • Newborn simulator for Obstetric Susie® designed to help students practice and develop essential obstetric skills.
  • Students can work hands-on and learn the four examination maneuvers used to ascertain the position of the fetus within the pelvic cavity.
CERVICAL DILATION MODULES (option):
  • The Cervical Dilation Modules for Obstetric Susie® are six labor station simulators that represent conditions of the cervix and vagina before labor, during labor, and at birth in a primigravid woman.
  • Stations may be placed in the birth canal of the manikin.
  • Stations illustrated are STA -5 before the onset of labor, STA -4 cervix partially effaced, STA -3 cervix fully effaced, STA 0 fetal head at plane of ischial spine, STA +2 cervix nearing full dilation, and STA +5 crowning of the fetal head.
BIRTHING MECHANISM (option):
  • The Birthing Mechanism for Obstetric Susie® is an auto-birthing system that can be used to help participants practice and develop the skills to manage routine and difficult deliveries.
  • Participants can view the birthing process and gain experience providing care during labor and delivery scenarios.
POST PARTUM SUTURING SKILLS TRAINER (option):
  • The Postpartum Suturing Skills Trainer is a set of three lifelike vaginal inserts for use with the Obstetric Susie® simulator to help participants practice and develop obstetric skills.
  • Participants can use real equipment and practice suturing skills used during episiotomy procedures.
