Fascia blocking simulator with ultrasound – BlockSIM

PRODUCT NUMBER 3539

BlockSim™ is an innovative high-fidelity system for the simulation of ultrasound-guided fascial blocks. Designed to meet the training needs in the field of ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia, it allows visualisation of the anatomy of the region of interest, providing information on the needle path to the target and testing the user’s ability to identify structures.

SKILLS

  • The user can practice and develop competence through simulation scenarios based on real clinical images.
  • The 9 different cases available take into account the appropriate movements to reach the target, the avoidance of unwanted structures, the time to complete the procedure and the disposition of the injected local anaesthetic.
  • At the end of the procedure, for each clinical case, the user is provided with an overall score based on their performance.
  • The simulated injection of local anaesthetic driven by a real syringe.
  • Allowing the user to investigate the target and choose the appropriate entry plane for the needle.

CHARACTERISTICS

HIGH FIDELITY

  • 9 real clinical cases.
  • The simulator is equipped with 3 very realistic ultra-durable tissue inserts.
  • The simulator allows the desired tissue insert to be positioned according to the requirements of the selected clinical case.

USER-FRIENDLY INTERFACE

  • Simple, fast and efficient user interaction with the simulator.
  • Allows the use of real needles, puncture of extremely realistic tissue insertions.
  • Inflating the anaesthetic fluid without generating needle tracks or damage.
  • Visualisation of the administration of the local anaesthetic solution to ensure proper distribution.

ULTRASOUND MONITORING

  • Real-time visualisation using a simulated ultrasound monitor.
  • Allows visualisation of the needle tip as it passes through the tissues.
  • Confirmation of alignment with the desired trajectory.
  • Continuous visualisation of local anaesthetic solution delivery to optimise local anaesthetic distribution.
