This training phantom helps trainees develop and practice using the ultrasound system controls, inserting and manipulating a transesophageal transducer (TEE/TOE), positioning and moving a transthoracic transducer (TTE), recognising cardiac structures, and performing ultrasound-guided pericardiocentesis procedures. These portable, lightweight cardiac block models offer an extremely realistic echocardiography training platform and are available in clear and flesh-tone configurations.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Features realistic anatomical cardiac ultrasound imaging and performs transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography and pericardiocentesis.
  • Scanning and measurement of 20 standard sections of the heart through the oesophagus and thorax from different angles.
  • Precise anatomical structures, including left and right ventricles, mitral, tricuspid, etc.
  • Supports 2D, 3D, 4D ultrasound/TEE-guided training and TTE training.
  • It supports ultrasound-guided pericardiocentesis, and pericardial effusion dose can be perfused according to teaching requirements.
  • Simulex tissue has self-healing properties, allowing over 1000 punctures to be performed when used with an 18-21 gauge needle.
