CISARC
Innovation in Simulation

CISARC has technologically equipped spaces and advanced methodological knowledge in clinical simulation. It provides healthcare organizations with training activities and processes aimed at improving patient safety and efficiency in the performance of the clinical teams.

It is a pioneering centre in clinical simulation in Catalonia. Linked to the Chair of Simulation and Patient Safety at UVic-UCC and the University Master’s Degree in Simulation Methodology, it carries out education and training of professionals and teams in all training stages: from the undergraduate and training cycles of the healthcare area to postgraduate university education or continuous training.

WELL-MAINTAINED AND VERSATILE FACILITIES

CISARC has eight complete simulation units that can operate simultaneously. Each unit consists of a simulated scenario, a direct observation and debriefing area and a control area, all within a 1000 m2 space dedicated to simulation.

A maximum of 15 students per group can work in each unit, so there can be 120 students doing quality simulation simultaneously. In total, more than 50 different scenarios can be recreated.

Primary care consultation, specialist consultation, emergency triage room, doctor-family communication consultation, etc.

Unit 7 – Health consultation 2

Speech therapy consultation, podiatry consultation, specialist consultation, doctor-family communication consultation, etc.

Unit 8 – Homecare

Home care in a kitchen, home care for a bedridden patient, etc.

COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT

We supported the client in all of this project’s phases of development, from conceptualization and requirements specification, through implementation and start-up, to the provision of support services and infrastructure maintenance.

Thanks to this detailed support and to continuous expert analysis, a multipurpose and flexible centre, capable of covering all the training needs of a complex institution such as CISARC, was obtained.
