CHARACTERISTICS

INTRUCTIONS FOR USE WITH FLEX-ORBIT HOLDER: This model does not require the use of the Flex Orbit Socket adapter.

1. Open all the FLEX-ORBIT screws and lubricate cavity FLEX-ORBIT surfaces.
2. Insert the OJOS model with the OPTIC NERVE on the nasal side. Lubricate the model.
3. Secure the BASE of the eye model to the FLEX-ORBIT with the posterior screws.
4. Confirm RECTUS MUSCLES are positioned properly so the screws pass in between (see figure).
5. Keep anterior screws retracted. This allows for the OJOS model to move freely inside the FLEX-ORBIT, without restriction. This allows simulation of traction techniques with sutures or muscle hooks.
6. Proceed to perform surgical procedure. Once surgical task is complete, open FLEX-ORBITscrews and remove the OJOS model. Lift the suction release tab to remove FLEX-ORBIT from surface. Do not pull the orbit.

Description

The OJOS Extraocular model simulates the external anatomical features of the eye, including conjunctiva, sclera, cornea, rectus muscle insertions nad optic nerve. This model allows demonstration and practice of numerous techniques requiring dissection and manipulation of the conjunctiva and sclera.

Use with FLEX ORBIT HOLDER for best results.
