The TruTourniquet is designed to practice massive bleeding control in lower extremity trauma. The model is based on a right thigh and provides realistic bleeding control with visual feedback on the user’s performance. The TruTourniquet model is a realistic solution for robust training in the control of massive bleeding associated with traumatic amputations, e.g. blast injuries.

  • It is realistic! Weight, size and movement of the leg involved in a traumatic amputation, with a bleeding point and a fractured femur.
  • It’s durable! Tested for over 40,000 tourniquet applications without failure.
  • Users can simulate massive bleeding when the product is connected to the pressurised blood supply.
  • The model provides visual feedback when the correct tourniquet force has been applied.
  • Quick and easy set-up in less than 5 minutes: if the blood system is empty, simply pour the blood back into the pump.
  • Ability to detach the stump from the base for use in a non-classroom environment.
  • Splash guard helps prevent blood overflow and minimises soiling. Can be easily attached and removed as required.
