MIGS SCHLEMM – Canaloplasty

PRODUCT NUMBER 1815

The SCHLEMM model is ideal for goniotomy and canaloplasty scenarios for devices that require a canal (iTrack, Omni, Hydrus, Kahook, GATT, etc). The SCHLEMM model has true canal lumen all around the eye, and a soft pigmented trabecular meshwork that can be pierced, cut and removed.

This model is open-sky (no full cornea) and does not need viscoelastic in or outside the eye. You can still visualize the angle using surgical gonioprisms and perform all relevant maneuvers. This model has pre-made incisions in four cuadrants, so there is no need to use blades. Clean and convenient, the SCHLEMM is the preferred tool for MIGS trainers around the world.

SKILLS

  • Gonioscopy skills
  • Canaloplasty scenarios for devices that require a canal (iTRACK, Omni, Hydrus, Kahook and GATT)
  • Instrument manouvering skills

CHARACTERISTICS

INTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
  1. Place a drop of water on a couple of the collector channel openings. The fluid will be absorbed into Schlemm’s canal by capillary action. Do not inject fluid as this can create pressure that can damage the Trabecular Meshwork. Let capillary action draw the fluid in passively.
  2. Add a drop of water to the exterior of the pre-made incisions to lubricate them and make insertion and manipulation of instruments easier for the user.
  3. Insert the SCHLEMM model into the TILTING HOLDER by gently peeling the eyelid margins open until the eye is completely inserted. Adding a couple drops of water to the holder helps during assembly.

INCLUDE

  • 12 Canaloplasty eye simulator with 360 Schlemm's canal
  • 1 Storage box
